KIDS BEST FEST, 2022

I was asked by Castle Towers Shopping Centre to create an art installation as part of their Kids Best Fest art trail program. The program was held over the school holidays and aimed to encourage youth to try and discover the artworks planted all over the centre.

I was to create an artwork that was inspiring and suitable for youth.

I decided to explore the concept of accepting, embracing and celebrating my Queerness. Creating LGBTQIA+ visibility in common public spaces. With each cube representing a different stage of my journey.

The artwork included imagery of my Self Love Trophies, short motivational phrases and imaginary world scenes.

After the program was over I was then able to help the centre donate and relocate the artworks a local school where the artwork is now displayed in their library.
