CENTRAL PARK MALL
ACTIVATION
LEVEL UP, 2021
CHIPPENDALE, SYDNEY
I partnered with 107 to transform the Level 2 food court space at Central Park Mall into a hybrid chill out and work space.
With the closure of some retailers in the centre due to Covid-19 there was an opportunity to transform this space into a fun, bright and inviting environment that would encourage shoppers to utilise.
The flexibility and organisation of the space has also allowed 107 to create a community engagement program that will help bring more people to the space. The programs events include workshops, panel discussions, launch events, art exhibitions and collaborations with retails in Central Park Mall.
Design components made for this project:
Repurposed fabric sculpture/hanging decoration
Install 2 large artworks
Vinyl decals for windows and furniture
Animation for wall projection
Artwork for marketing collateral
Total number of co-worker visitors: 6040
The centre noticed an increase in foot traffic to the space and noticed an increase in wifi consumption.
Types of engagement from the community includes game developers from local offices, young people between 12-25 years old, residence streaming movies and films, arts and UTS students having social evenings.
