PUBLIC ART ACTIVATION
FOMO FREO XMAS, 2022

I was asked by Kinn & Co. to help them transform an unused outside gazebo at the FOMO Freo retail space into a Christmas activation.

The brief was to create a Santa’s workshop inspired build that had some element of interaction. As well as deliver a series of workshops at the space during their weekend public programming.

I wanted to make each side of the build different to create multiple photo opportunities for pedestrians. There was the the traditional tree with presents scene, Santas door and then two scenes on either side. Mirrors hung on 3 sides creating selfie opportunities.

I then facilitated a Christmas Tree Ornament workshop that was ‘drop- in style’ and open to all ages and family focused.

The activation was set up for a 3 week period.
