I was asked by Merivale to create an illustration that could be use across multiple space in the Alexandria Hotel as part of their Mardi Gras campaign.

There were 3 zones to consider. The front bar, the bleachers in the back courtyard and the side entry. The client also wanted the design to be something that could potentially stay installed permanently.

My design was inspired by the Rosie Deacon installation hanging in the front bar. (The large hanging ring). I wanted to create an outer space Pride World with floating figures, stars and debris. Creating a fun and immersive feeling to the space.

We made the Happy Mardi Gras an additional vinyl. So it can be removed after the campaign. Leaving the artwork to be showcased all year round.
